Osprey Communications wins Hadrian's Wall PR contract

Osprey Communications has won the contract to handle the public relations for Hadrian's Wall Heritage Ltd (July 2008).

Osprey, who won the award for the Outstanding Small PR agency in the North West in 2007, has been taken on to help raise the profile of Hadrian’s Wall Country as a visitor destination. Osprey will also handle the organisation’s corporate PR.

Hadrian’s Wall Country covers an area 10 miles to the north and south of the line of the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site and extends for 150 miles from Arbeia on Tyneside down the Cumbrian coast to Ravenglass. Osprey will be promoting not only the Roman sites but also the wide range of other attractions, quality local produce, food and drink and accommodation.

Osprey Communications’ Managing Director Paul Gardner says: “We’re delighted to be working with Hadrian’s Wall Heritage Ltd. Hadrian’s Wall is one of the important historic sites in Britain. Research shows that it is also one of the places the public most want to visit.

“Our role will be to show people just how much the area has to offer. As well as the Roman sites there’s also some of the most stunning scenery in England, pretty villages, market towns, castles and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities.

“We will also be helping Hadrian’s Wall Heritage Ltd to give people a better understanding of the organisation’s wide-ranging role.”
