The jester competition is now part of a six day Festival of Fools at Muncaster which attracts thousands of visitors every year.

The festival has attracted coverage in a wide range of local, regional and national media including an 11' film on the BBC's Countryfile, interviews on BBC Radio 5 and local radio stations across the UK, features in the Daily Telegraph and the Manchester Evening News and items on four regional news programmes.

We won a Gold Award from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2005 for creating a jester competition at Muncaster to highlight the fact that the Castle was home to the original Tom Fool.
