Osprey Communications has shown a lot of creativity in developing stories. I’m very pleased with the level of support they give us and the amount of coverage we are now getting. Graeme Prest, Forestry Commission NW England

We have supported English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues with communications activity for nearly a decade, continuing to secure regular local, regional and national media coverage.

As well as press release writing and devising creative stories, we organise national media reviews for each of the company’s four star luxury hotels.  We have secured mentions for the group's hotels in the news and ‘last minute’ columns of national newspaper travel sections.

We have also helped the group spread the word about its charitable initiatives and the drive in ecotourism to boost its business whilst protecting the beauty of its surrounding green landscapes.

"Osprey Communications have proved to be creative and enthusiastic in all aspects of our PR. Unlike other companies, they do not run out of ideas and lose that all important enthusiasm."
Colin Fox, Group marketing manager, English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues

Osprey Communications has helped put Muncaster Castle firmly on the map with PR and media engagement support in recent years.  We won a Gold Award from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations for creating a jester competition at Muncaster to highlight the castle as the home of the original Tom Fool.

The competition has become the foundation stone of the annual ‘Festival of Fools’ which brings thousands of visitors to the castle and its fabulous gardens each year.

We handled corporate and destination PR for Hadrian's Wall Heritage Ltd, organising national press trips and media engagement for the ‘Illuminating Hadrian's Wall’ initiative, which involved more than a thousand volunteers lighting hundreds of beacons along an 84-mile route. We secured extensive national coverage of the event, with news outlets in China and Germany also covering the story.

We have twice been commissioned by Cumbria Tourism to promote its work in the North West.  We organised a summit on its behalf which included advising on topics for discussion, speakers and delegates. We arranged the venue, catering and the production and distribution of conference information packs for delegates.

We also managed the PR, communications and social media activity for the GoLakes Travel project, the Lake District’s sustainable visitor transport programme, which aims to get visitors to use greener alternatives to the car.
